Trouble in the Southlands

Destined Battle ?

The wound I got from those mercenary sure took time to heal, they were undoubtly well trained…
either way, my body is well now, if only rusty from the rest.. I don’t quite recall much dscussion I had with the newcomers, but I know for sure they are not enemies, there is something in them that make me feel protective toward them somehow, I guess protecting the children for so long made me softer or awoken my maternal protection of sort ?

what we found on place when we finally reach the village we were set to free… there wasn’t much to free… those poor souls looked resigned to slavery, hope somehow, seemed to had left their eyes. Too late ? how could amazon lose faith to this extend so fast ? we were guided to the queen, probably thinking they had the upper hand agains’t 4 people… why did the two guys followed anyway ?… well, it’s their choice.

what happened afterward… I’m not sure, I know I challenged the queen, for all she did, but I ended up facing a man in the arena, my brain must had been boiling at the sight of my enemy and now, I’m there, not only facing someone else, but that person.. was my savior ? I’ll skip the detail, the fight was rough… again which fight to death isn’t ? but I managed to put him down, winning the fight and stand pridefully in the arena…

A moment of reality

I’m still unsure what to make all of this, the new culture, the people around me, and most of all, the fox companion that I’ve been running with. It was a terrifying thing, dashing through the woods while hoping your footing would be steady enough to make it; knowing that if you slipped at this moment, it would most likely be the end of everything. I still wonder though, why did those exalted think that I was a threat? I’m only a child, confused and lost in this world without any sense of direction or heading. I am still confused as to why those two ladies decide to take up in arms to protect against those awful monsters.

This was all too strange for me; I never imagined being faced into a position where death could easily approach itself and cause an issue. I never imagined that I would be placed into a position where I had to decide to let that arrow sink into another child; a child that was nearing my age! How could he do such a thing towards me too? I remember the stinging pain and the close arrow that whipped past my face. It left a mark, a mark that I could never forget, and even after the wound closed itself, it would always be there.

I realized something very valuable today and something that will always stick true to my heart; a sense of encouragement. The expressions the men showed after they had my companion and I stopped the words from the Amazon warriors and most importantly of all, the sound of battle. It’s allowing me to question various things: why did those strange women help us? Was this a trick, or an act of compassion?

There is something else that bothers me, and it’s the man that was being chased alongside me. I do wonder if he’s feeling the same thing, a mixture of fear or something inside his mind or if he even cares for me. All I know for sure is that I have a sense of pity for that creature… It seems like he’s been cursed or something; he turned into a monster! Still, monster or not, he looked out for me in the slightest way and for that, I think he might be good. Although.. This could all be a trick—everything that has happened so far.

So it begin

Many things have happened during my travels, some good, some bad, same for everyone who start a journey… some weeks ago, I’ve met Lynn, apparently a solar as well, though I have less problem imagining her as a solar than myself… she seem to be some kind of warrior like me, she wear some heavy looking clothes, I doubt it’s easy to move in that, what’s the point ?… she also got Hunter.. if I remember well, a boy stuck to her like a leech at anytime. we ended up knowing each others secrets, kinda why we move along now, it is also funnier than travelling alone.

our journey was pretty boring, nothing much to tell about it, until today. slavers… of all the things I can’t handle well, they had to cross my path, to make a long story short, got captured myself in the past by slavers… ironically, the one who did it in the past was the master of this caravan. we managed to catch up on them, I was ready for a blood feast, but Lynn had another plan… was too bad a plan since most of them ran away leaving the slaves, two of them lied in their own blood and the most disgusting one was knocked out cold… I made sure no one would ever find him again.

The slaves happened to be amazon, some are even from my village, including my sister… she told me what happened since I left… I still can’t believe or village fell… I have to go back, Lynn didn’t opposed to the idea, even offered to come along, which I appreciate, guess I didn’t even thanked her properly for that… one of the girl from another village guided us to a rundown temple, apparently known only of her tribe… Lynn started on a lot of explaination about what this place is, but I didn’t understand much of it… a manse ? whatever, to me it’s just a roof to sleep under..until it talked to me… maybe I should not have touched that stone… I’m still trying to make some sense to all of it…

Welcome to your Adventure Log!
A blog for your campaign

Every campaign gets an Adventure Log, a blog for your adventures!

While the wiki is great for organizing your campaign world, it’s not the best way to chronicle your adventures. For that purpose, you need a blog!

The Adventure Log will allow you to chronologically order the happenings of your campaign. It serves as the record of what has passed. After each gaming session, come to the Adventure Log and write up what happened. In time, it will grow into a great story!

Best of all, each Adventure Log post is also a wiki page! You can link back and forth with your wiki, characters, and so forth as you wish.

One final tip: Before you jump in and try to write up the entire history for your campaign, take a deep breath. Rather than spending days writing and getting exhausted, I would suggest writing a quick “Story So Far” with only a summary. Then, get back to gaming! Grow your Adventure Log over time, rather than all at once.
